Kindred Spirits at Childs Cove

Our home, Kindred Spirits at Childs Cove, is located on the public or what is also know as the cool side of Lake Anna Virginia. Being such, you can go by boat or car to local restaurants that access the water, visit the Lake Anna State Park by water, utilize many of the marinas, fuel your watercraft and have mush more water space to canvas the lake. The public side is where commercial business is allowed around the water and offers you to visit such by boat/watercraft.

Yes, Kindred Spirits at Childs Cove is waterfront. We have 250' of water front and from most rooms in our home you are afforded a beautiful view of Lake Anna Virginia. Being waterfront we also have a dock and allow docking of guest boat/watercraft that meet our HOA requirements.

Our home Kindred Spirits at Childs Cove is only 1500'. Being that it is not a very large home, our maximum in guests staying at our home (day and night) is 8 ( which includes adults and children). Of the 8, the maximum in adults is 4. Our home is truly a great fit for two families. Please note that only those designated on our guest list are to be at our home and we do not allow visiting day or night guests. We truly love hosting our guests at our home, but we also are respectful of our neighbors peace and well being, are on a well and septic system and do not allow parties, weddings, groups or to be over occupacy that is determined by guest to bedroom limit.

We are not the typical cookie cutter type vacation home. We offer fresh linens on prepared beds upon arrival. We provide towels (bath, hand and face). We supply paper products upon arrival (toilet paper, paper towels, tissues). We have a fully stocked kitchen and will find dish washer detergent, dish soap, many pots, pans, utencils, crock pot, coffer maker, blender and more. In our laundry are is a HE washer and dryer and detergent is available. We also leave beach towels, but do ask if such are used that they are washed before departure.

Our check in is 4:00 p.m. and check out is 10:00 a.m. We do not allow early arrival or departure since we only book weekly Saturday to Satuday stays which have back to back families arriving. It truly takes us 6 hours of cleaning between guests because of the additional things we provide, but if by chance we would happen to get our cleaning done a little earlier on the day of your arrival we will certainly call you on the cell phone number you provide us so we may be able to let you start your vacation a little early. We also recommend if you are in the area prior to check in time that there is a local farmer's market in the area, the Lake Anna State Park which is only 4 miles away as well as our local grocery store, Food Lion, which is also only 8-10 minutes away. Please note that prior to arrival you will receive a check in and out packet link which will have much of the information regarding our home and what is in the area locally.

We do not allow guests to bring pets and smoking is also not allowed at our home.

We do not provide a boat, water craft or kayaks, but certainly have places to recommend where you can rent such for your stay. We do provide sand toys for our beach area, have an area to dock a boat, a water slide, outside swing bench and a lot of outside furniture located at our dock and many levels on our decks.
